New DelhiFormer Indian cricket team cricketer Vinod Kambli is ill. His health suddenly deteriorated after which he was admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced to help Vinod Kambli. An assistance of Rs 5 lakh has been announced by Srikant Shinde Foundation. Seeing this, Kambli became emotional.
As per the orders of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his OSD Mangesh Chiwate discussed with the doctors and requested them to ensure that there is no flaw in the treatment of Vinod Kambli. Rs 5 lakh is being given for Kambli’s treatment. It is hoped that if more money is spent on Kambli’s treatment, this foundation can help him even more.
Kambli (52) is responding to treatment for urinary tract infection, for which she was admitted to Aakriti Hospital near Bhiwandi city on Saturday (December 21), the hospital’s Dr Vivek Trivedi told PTI. Trivedi is leading the medical team that is monitoring the health of the former cricketer.
He said that doctors were planning to conduct MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) on the former Indian batsman, but since he was running fever, a decision on such medical procedure would be taken later. Trivedi said that the MRI procedure has become necessary after a clot in the brain was detected in several medical tests conducted earlier. He said Kambli is likely to be taken out of the ICU within a day or two and discharged after about four days.
