Jaipur. Big revelations are continuously coming to light in the investigation of the scam in Rajasthan in the Central Government’s ambitious project Jal Jeevan Mission.
These revelations have been made during the interrogation of Sanjay Badaya, who has been caught by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Jal Jeevan Mission scam. Sanjay Badaya, the mastermind of this scam, became a millionaire in just a few months. Badaya, who used to earn Rs 7 lakh annually till three years ago, became a big builder developer by committing a scam in the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Sanjay Badaya, who was arrested by the ED on the night of July 16, two days ago in the Jal Jeevan Mission scam, is a resident of Banipark, Jaipur. According to ED sources, Sanjay Badaya used to work in M/s Merulands Insurance Company till 2022. At that time, Badaya used to get an annual salary of just Rs 7 lakh. Sanjay Badaya is a close friend of Mahesh Joshi, the Water Supply Minister of the previous Gehlot government.
Sanjay did business worth crores in Jaipur
After that he entered Jal Jeevan Mission. Later, by committing one scam after another, he became a big builder developer in just three years. He formed a new company named M/s Chamatkareshwar Builders and Developers. He also made his wife Naina Badaya a partner in the real estate company. In the name of this company, he did business worth crores in Jaipur. He also tried to grab JDA leased land with fake documents.
Sanjay’s father used to run a grocery shop
ED investigation revealed that Sanjay Badaya’s father Hari Narayan Badaya used to run a shop by the name of Kalyan Kirana Store. Sanjay converted his father’s grocery store into Shreeji Trading Company. He took bribes worth crores of rupees from the company of Padam Jain, who was a contractor in Jal Jeevan Mission, into his father’s accounts. This bribe amount was transferred from the accounts of Shri Shyam Tubewell Company.
ED has also issued summons to former water supply minister Mahesh Joshi
However, Sanjay Badaya is on four-day remand with ED. ED officials are questioning Sanjay Badaya. More big revelations can be made in that. In this scam of Jal Jeevan Mission, ED has earlier issued summons to the then minister Mahesh Joshi. BJP leader Kirori Lal Meena had alleged a scam of Rs 20 thousand crores in Jal Jeevan Mission.
