Mohammad Aman was made the captain of India’s Under-19 team after making a splash in the junior circuit in Uttar Pradesh. Aman is a reliable middle-order batsman and is also an excellent spinner. Aman’s cricket journey has been inspiring. Mohammad Aman was made the captain of India’s Under-19 team for the first time for the series against Australia earlier this year. Although he had not made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh till then.

Mohammad Aman’s life has been full of struggles. Since childhood, he loved playing cricket. After the 2011 World Cup, Mohammad Aman considered cricket as his future and started studying during the day and playing cricket at night. Initially, parents tried to stop Aman a lot but when he played under-14 and under-16, Aman surprised everyone with his cricket. Became orphan at the age of 16
Aman became orphan at the age of 16 during the Corona period and lost his father in 2022 and his mother due to Covid-19 in 2019. During this time, the burden of supporting his three younger brothers and sisters fell on him. At a young age, he had the option to either fulfill his cricket dream or find work to keep his siblings from sleeping hungry. He chose cricket above everything else and gave his all to the game and eventually made it to the India Under-19 team.

Lost in the final
He was made the captain of India’s Under-19 ODI cricket team. The first major match of Aman’s Under-19 team was against Australia. Mohammad Aman’s team defeated Australia 3-0. After which the selectors expressed confidence in Mohammad Aman and handed him the captaincy of the team for the Under-19 Asia Cup. Just a few days ago, in the Under-19 Asia Cup held in Dubai, the team under the captaincy of Mohammad Aman performed well and managed to reach the finals, although they struggled and lost the finals.

This is Mohammad Aman’s dream
Mohammad Aman told Local 18 that he started playing cricket at the age of 6. He loved playing cricket right from the beginning. In the beginning his parents also told him a lot. But when he started performing well, the family started supporting him. But due to poor family condition, he could not get all the facilities. Mohammad Aman told that for me, Saharanpur Cricket Association and BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla is no less than God. Apart from my family, I got full support from all of them, due to which today I was able to make a place in the Indian Under-19 team. My next target is to make a place in the senior team.
