Maha kumbh stampede: After many years, the grand Kumbh i.e. Mahakumbh is going on in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. So far, crores of people have taken a dip in the Ganges here and in the coming days, the number of people can increase continuously. In Mahakumbh, there was such a crowd about the bathing of Mauni Amavasya that there was a sudden stampede, in which 30 people died and many were injured. In such a situation, people are asking how security arrangements are ensured in Mahakumbh and what preparations are made for this.
Why is a new district made?
In fact, preparations are already done by the government for Mahakumbh, in which it is decided which officers will have the responsibility of the entire fair, how many police forces will be present here and in which places the maximum police will be deployed. A new temporary district is made in Prayagraj to keep the security system agitated. Which is known as Mahakumbh Nagar. For example, it is the responsibility of the officials in the district that they will see all kinds of things from law and order, in the same way, the officials of this temporary district are eyeing every incident and system in Prayagraj.
These officials, who were deployed for Mahakumbh Nagar, decide when to keep the path closed and how many people have to be allowed to go to the ghat. This is done in royal baths, when crores of people reach Mahakumbh. A similar arrangement is made in every Aquarius, that is, every time such officers are deployed, whose scope is only up to Kumbh running in a few kilometers.
Mahakumbh has a separate DM
Because Mahakumbh is seen as a district, the District Magistrate is also posted here. This time in Mahakumbh, Vijay Kiran Anand has been given this responsibility, who is also a fair officer. Apart from them, big police officers are also handling the responsibility. A total of five sharp officers have been entrusted with the responsibility of the entire fair by the Yogi government.
