Tokyo: India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will attend the swearing-in ceremony of America’s newly elected President Donald Trump. He will reach here to lead India. However, during this time, preparations are being made to surround China. Japan is coordinating with the US, Australia and India to organize a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Quad countries on the occasion of Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, Japan stable NHK-World quoted sources as saying. The Japanese government plans to take a final decision on the matter after analyzing the US Senate procedures for approving the cabinet lineup.

Japan’s Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi revealed on NHK’s debate program on Sunday that he will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Trump administration on January 20. Japan has expressed hope that the new US administration will give importance to maintaining and strengthening cooperation among the four countries for a free and open Indo-Pacific. Donald Trump has selected his ministers even before becoming President. He has selected Marco Rubio as America’s Secretary of State.

Donald Trump has invited Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong to his swearing-in ceremony. Regarding this, she said, ‘I am honored to be invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Donald Trump. This is a demonstration of the strong alliance between Australia and the USA. Apart from this, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, known as Chanakya of India, will also participate in the ceremony. India’s External Affairs Ministry announced this on Sunday.

Quad formed to counter China
Quad was formed to counter China. Quad is a diplomatic partnership, which includes Australia, India, Japan and America. It is dedicated to promoting an open, peaceful and prosperous Indo-Pacific. In September 2024, US President Joe Biden hosted the fourth Quad Leaders Summit. This meeting took place in Wilmington, Delaware, Biden’s home state.
