Washington: Donald Trump will take oath as the new President of America on January 20. Relations between America and China have always been tense. But Donald Trump now wants to improve relations with China. Donald Trump has told his advisors that he wants to visit China after taking office. So that relations with Xi Jinping can be deepened. Which has become tense due to the threat of imposing higher tariffs on Chinese imports.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that Trump has also talked to his advisors about a possible visit to India. According to sources, preliminary level talks began when External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Washington DC around Christmas last month.

India is all set to host the Quad summit comprising the leaders of Australia, Japan and the United States. This journey may take place in April or at the end of this year. There is also a possibility that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may be invited by Trump for a meeting at the White House this spring.

China was invited to attend the swearing in
A day earlier, Trump had spoken to Chinese President Xi Jinping. Xi has sent Vice President Han Zheng to Trump’s inauguration, which will be the first appearance of a senior Chinese official at the inauguration of a US president. India will be represented at the inauguration ceremony by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Trump had invited Xi to his inauguration, however, the Chinese leader never attends the swearing-in of foreign leaders. After the talks, Trump said he had a “very good” conversation with Xi.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I just spoke to China’s leader Xi Jinping. I hope we will solve many problems together, and start immediately.” Trump said the two discussed trade, fentanyl, TikTok and other topics, and said the call was “very good” for both countries.

Trump put pressure on China
Trump said, “President Xi and I will do everything we can to make the world more peaceful and secure!” , According to the Wall Street Journal, the Beijing meeting will come at a tense moment in relations between the world’s major superpowers. Along with potential new tariffs, Trump has also pressured Beijing to crack down on Chinese chemical producers supplying ingredients for fentanyl to Mexican cartels.
