Team India Squad for Champions Trophy 2025: The Indian team for Champions Trophy 2025 has been announced. Rohit Sharma has been given the captaincy. Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli are also included in the team.
New Delhi. Team India has been announced for Champions Trophy 2025. Rohit Sharma will be seen captaining in the Champions Trophy. At the same time, Shubhman Gill has been given the vice-captaincy. Virat Kohli has also got a chance in the team, while fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also been included in the 15-member team. The team was to arrive on January 12 only but BCCI had asked ICC for a few more days’ time.
Shubman Gill has been chosen as the vice-captain of Team India for the Champions Trophy. At the same time, Shreyas Iyer, who performed brilliantly in domestic cricket, has returned to the team. Iyer has scored a lot of runs in domestic cricket in recent times. Rishabh Pant, Yashasvi Jaiswal have also been given a chance in the team.
Except Pakistan, all the teams have announced their teams. Pakistan will also announce its squad in a few days. Let us tell you that Pakistan is the host of this tournament but India will play all its matches in Dubai. BCCI had already said that it will not send its players to Pakistan. In such a situation, ICC had to adopt a hybrid model approach for this tournament.
Team India will start the tournament with a match against Bangladesh. India will play its first match on 20 February. After this, Team India has to face Pakistan. India has to play the last match of the group stage on March 2. If India reaches the second semi-final then the venue will be changed from Lahore to Dubai.
