Jasprit bumrah out of two odi vs England: Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been out of the first 2 ODIs of the 3-match series against England. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar has given a big update on Bumrah’s injury.

Jasprit bumrah out of two odi vs England: BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar said on Saturday that Jasprit Bumrah will not be fit for the first 2 ODIs against England. Therefore, young fast bowler Harshit Rana had to be included in Team India in his place. Agarkar said that he is waiting for an update from the medical team on the condition of the main fast bowler. However, Bumrah has been included in the team for the Champions Trophy to be held after the three-match series against England. A 5-match T20 series will be played between India and England before January 22. After this, the ODI series between the two teams will start from 6th February.

Ajit Agarkar said in a press conference with Indian captain Rohit Sharma, ‘Bumrah has been asked to rest for five weeks. Due to which he will not be available for the first two ODIs against England. We are waiting for his fitness and we will know about his condition from the medical team in early February. Bumrah could not bowl on the fifth day of the Sydney Test against Australia due to a strain in his back muscles.

The final team for the Champions Trophy will have to be submitted to the International Cricket Council (ICC) by 11 February. Champions Trophy will start from 19th February. Before this, India will play three bilateral ODI matches against England on 6th, 9th and 12th February. This will be the first 50-over series of the Indian team since the Sri Lanka tour in August last year.

Fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has not got a place in the 15-member team announced for the home ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy. Shami has returned to the ODI team after the 50-over World Cup in 2023. Harshit Rana has been selected only for the England series.
