East Central Railway (ECR) has invited applications for 1154 Apprentice posts. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway’s official website rrcecr.gov.in. This recruitment campaign is being done for various divisions and workshops, and the registration process has started from 25 January 2025. The last date of the application is 14 February 2025. Danapur Division – 675 posts
Dhanbad Division – 156 posts
Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Division – 64 posts
Sonpur Division – 47 posts
Samastipur Division – 46 posts
Plant Depot/Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay – 29 posts
Carriage Repair Workshop/Harnaut – 110 posts
Mechanical Workshop/Samastipur – 27 posts
All these divisions and workshops will be recruited to different posts. Interested candidates can apply for these posts according to their eligibility.
This is eligibility criterion
The minimum educational qualification has been prescribed for the candidates applying for this recruitment. The candidate should pass the 10th class (matriculation) examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board. Apart from this, it is mandatory to have ITI in the related trade. The candidate should also have a National Trade Certificate or a certificate issued by the National Council or State Council.
This is the selection process
Selection for apprentice posts will be done on the basis of merit list. In the merit list, the average of both 10th class and ITI marks will be taken and both will be given equal importance. On this basis, candidates will be selected and nominated for training. This selection process will be completely based on digits, and no written examination or interview will be conducted.
The application fee will be charged
According to the notification, the application fee has been fixed at Rs 100. This fee will have to be paid through debit/credit card or internet banking through online through the candidate. Keep in mind that in addition to the application fee, if there is any transaction fee, then the candidates will have to bear themselves. Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and women candidates have been exempted from the application fee.
