This is the youngest country in the world, half of the population is less than 15 years of age.

The world is dividing into two parts due to population. One is those countries whose population is becoming a problem for them. On the other hand, there are those countries which want to increase their birth rate due to decreasing population, because the number of elderly people there is increasing very rapidly. However, here we will talk about that country in the world, which is the country with the youngest population and half of the population here is less than 15 years of age. This figure may seem shocking to you, but poverty is rampant in many countries of Africa. And due to lack of resources, life expectancy is decreasing and due to this the average age of people is decreasing.

This is the country with the youngest population

African country Niger is the country with the youngest population in the world. According to United Nations data, the average age of this country is only 14.8 years. Even half the population is below 15 years of age. Due to poverty and lack of resources the birth rate here is very high. According to statistics, the average birth rate per woman in Niger is 7.6 children. Whereas the global figure is 2.5. The life expectancy here is only about 58 years.

Depleting resources

Niger may be at the forefront in terms of youth population, but the increasing population of youth is becoming a problem for this country. In fact, due to the poor financial condition of this country, the basic needs of the young population like education facilities and institutions are not being met. Due to this, problems like poverty and child marriage are also arising here. According to the World Bank, high fertility rates in poor countries are also causing health problems.

Young population in these countries also

Niger is not the only country with a low population in Africa. Apart from this, Uganda and Angola also have a large youth population. The average age of youth in both countries is 16 years. Apart from this, the average age of youth in Palestine, Yemen and Iraq in the Middle East is also around 22 years. After this it is 20 years in Afghanistan, 20.6 years in Timor-Leste and 21.7 years in Papua New Guinea.
