How is it decided how many days to rest?

The severity of the injury suffered by any player decides how many days he will remain away from the field. If the injury suffered by a player falls in Grade 1 category, then at least two to three weeks of rehabilitation is necessary for him. In case of Grade 2 injury, the player’s recovery may take 6 weeks. If grade 3 is the most serious, it requires three months of rest and rehabilitation.

Players feel pain during the activity, causing them to stop playing. Grade 3 injuries are more serious in the muscles. The player suddenly feels pain and may fall to the ground.

The 5-match T20I series between India and England is going to start from January 22. Immediately after this, the Indian team will play a 3-match ODI series against England from 6 February.
