Talks are continuing between Israel and Hamas in Qatar for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages. According to news agency Reuters, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz gave information about this on Friday. The US, Qatar and Egypt have been mediating for several months to reach an agreement between the two sides.
According to media reports, David Barnia, head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad, may also go to Qatar on Monday to discuss the issue of the release of hostages.
Amid ongoing ceasefire talks in Qatar, Israel’s Defense Minister accused Lebanese rebel group Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire. Katz warned on Sunday that if ceasefire violations continued, Israel would be forced to take action.
Let us tell you that on October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked several Israeli areas along the Gaza border and took 254 people hostage. So far, more than 150 hostages have been released, while about 100 people are still in captivity of Hamas. However, the Israeli Army has confirmed the death of 34 people.

In this video, Liri has blamed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not freeing the Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity.
Liri Elbagh was kidnapped from Nahal Oz Army Base along with 6 female soldiers. Of these, 5 women soldiers are still in captivity of Hamas.
Hamas has released the video of Liri Elbagh. Regarding which his family members say that they are heartbroken after seeing their daughter.
Liri said- Netanyahu government has forgotten me
According to the Times of Israel, Elbagh said-
I am just 19 years old. My whole life has stopped. We have been held hostage for more than 450 days. The Netanyahu government has forgotten me and the other hostages. I think that the Israeli people captured by Hamas are not a priority for the government or the army.
Elbagh further said that the release of the detainees depends on the withdrawal of Israeli forces. However, no information has been revealed about when this video was recorded. At the same time, for Liri Elbagh, his family also released a video in which they appealed to the leaders of the world including Israel to come forward to free the Israeli prisoners.
PM’s responsibility to bring back Liri- family
Liri’s family released the video and said-
We saw the video sent by Hamas. Our hearts are broken after seeing our daughter. This is not the Liri we know. He is in very bad condition. hLiri, who used to be strong, looks broken and scattered today. In the video we saw Liri begging for his life. He is many kilometers away from us. We have not been able to bring him home for the last 456 days.
The family members further appealed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said that the PM should take decisions regarding the hostages as if they were his own children. Liri is alive and it is up to the PM to bring him back safely.
Netanyahu spoke to Elbag’s parents on Saturday regarding this matter. He assured Elbagh’s family that he is doing everything possible for the hostages to return home. All hostages will be safely brought back to Israel as soon as possible.
Liri Elbag’s parents, Sira and Eli, appealed on social media for the hostages to be freed.
We are not giving up, you should also not give up – Liri’s family
Talking about the conversation with the PM, Liri’s parents Sira and Eli released a second video and said that the Israeli contingent should not return from Qatar until a deal is made with Hamas. he adds-
Liri we are fighting for you, we are not going to give up on you. You will come back home alive. With God’s help it will happen soon. We are not giving up, you too don’t give up. Keep fighting and stay alive.
According to the report, out of 251 hostages held by Hamas, 96 people are in Gaza. Whereas the Israeli army has already confirmed the death of 34 people. Demonstrations have been going on in Israel for several months for the release of the hostages. On Saturday, people demonstrated outside PM Netanyahu’s residence. After which the police arrested 4 people. In other states of Israel including Tel Aviv, family members are protesting and appealing to the government to free the people imprisoned by Hamas.

No update on indirect negotiations
