The shares of IT company Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) are seeing a rise of about 6% today (January 10). TCS shares are trading at Rs 4,278 with a rise of 5.91%.

The company’s third quarter results were released a day earlier. This rise in the company’s shares is being seen due to positive results. The company’s shares have given a return of 3.66% in the last five days.

The company’s shares have fallen 3.52% in the last 1 month. However, TCS shares have given returns of about 10% in the last 6 months and 16% in the last one year.

TCS profits of ₹12,380 crore in the third quarter

In the third quarter (Q3FY25) i.e. October-December quarter, the consolidated net profit of TCS increased by about 3.95% on quarterly basis to Rs 12,380 crore. Earlier in the July-September quarter it was Rs 11,909 crore. At the same time, net profit has increased by 12% on annual basis.

However, there was a decline in the company’s income. It stood at Rs 63,973 crore in the October-December quarter. In the last quarter, the company had earned an income of Rs 64,259 crore. Whereas EBIT increased from Rs 15,469 crore to Rs 16900 crore on quarterly basis.

Company will give dividend of Rs 10 per share

Along with the results, TCS has also announced an internal dividend of Rs 10 per share and a special dividend of Rs 66 for its shareholders. Companies give some part of the profits to their shareholders, it is called dividend.
