IND vs AUS 4th Test Day 2 Highlights: Danger of follow-on looms over India… Pant-Jadeja pair depend on it

When the game ended on the second day of India-Australia Boxing Day Test, most of the discussion was about the possibilities of the next day. How many more runs will India be able to score on the third day, will it be able to save the follow-on and if yes, then which batsman is the most expected? In a similar discussion on Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar answered every question. Gavaskar first said that India should hope that it will score the required 275 runs to avoid the follow-on. If Ravindra Jadeja plays the same way in which he batted in the last Test, then India should not have any problem in avoiding the follow-on.

Former captain Sunil Gavaskar also believes that even if India is unable to save the follow-on, Australia itself would like to bat first. He said, ‘There is still a lot of time left in the Melbourne Test. Australia would not like to give follow-on to India on the third day of the match. Instead, he would like to bat himself and give a big target to India. He would like India to bat in the fourth innings.
