You will now be able to schedule an order 2 days in advance on the online food delivery platform Zomato. The company’s founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal announced the launch of this facility on the social media platform X.
Currently, this facility has been started in around 13,000 restaurants in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Jaipur for orders more than Rs 1,000.

Dipinder Goyal wrote on his X handle, ‘Plan your meals smarter by ordering up to 2 days in advance and we will deliver on time.
Restaurants always have a larger variety of dishes in stock and have also seen kitchen preparation time consistency. More restaurants and cities are being added. We will soon extend this to all orders.
Intercity service was closed two days ago
Two days before the launch of the new facility, the company had announced the closure of its intercity service Legends. Goyal had also given this information on his X handle.
He had said, ‘Update on Zomato Legends – After two years of efforts, having not been successful in achieving product market fit, we have decided to discontinue this service with immediate effect.’
Zomato had announced the launch of the new ‘District’ app
Earlier this month, Zomato announced the launch of a new app called ‘District’. This app combines the ‘going-out’ business with dining and ticketing (movies and events). This app is a major expansion beyond the company’s core food delivery services and hyper commerce.
Zomato’s profit increased 126.5 times in the April-June quarter
Zomato’s profit has increased 126.5 times year-on-year to Rs 253 crore in the April-June quarter. The company’s consolidated net profit was Rs 2 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Zomato’s revenue grew 74% to Rs 4,206 crore in the first quarter. The revenue was Rs 2,416 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Zomato released its first quarter results for FY 2024-25 on 1 August.
The company will buy Paytm’s entertainment and ticketing business
Earlier, the food aggregator on Wednesday announced the acquisition of Paytm’s entertainment and ticketing business. The deal is to be done for Rs 2,048.4 crore. This giant company of the food delivery sector wants to expand its position in the ‘going-out’ segment.
