WTC final Race: Victory in Melbourne is not necessary, India can play the final even after winning the Sydney Test, not one or two, read all 4 equations

New Delhi. As the India-Australia Test series is progressing, the equation of the WTC final is getting complicated. Now only 8 Test matches are left in WTC Cycle 2025. Of these, India has to play only two matches. If India has to go to the WTC final without any confidence, then it will have to win both these matches. 1. What will happen if India wins the series 2-1…
India and Australia now have to play the fourth Test match in Melbourne and the fifth Test match in Sydney. If India wins one of these matches and wins the series 2-1, then it will have 55.26 percent points. If Sri Lankan team beats Australia 1-0, then India will remain in the top-2 in the points table.

2. What will happen if India and Australia are tied at 2-2…
If India and Australia win one each of the remaining two matches of the series, then the series will end in a tie of 2-2, still Team India will have 55.26 percent points. Even in this situation, the Sri Lankan team can help India. If Sri Lankan team wins the series against Australia 1-0 then India will remain above both these teams. Only

3. What will happen if India and Australia are tied at 1-1…
If the next two matches between India and Australia remain a draw, then the series will remain tied at 1-1. If this happens, Team India will have 53.51 percent points. Even in this situation, India can reach the WTC final. In this again Sri Lanka’s victory will help India. Sri Lanka’s 1-0 win over Australia will keep India in a better position than these two teams.

4. How can Pakistan help…
Not only Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s victory is also going to be useful for India. For example, if India-Australia series is drawn 1-1 and Pakistan team beats South Africa 2-0, then there will be chaos in the points table. If this happens, India (53.51) will reach first place in the points table. The second finalist team could be Sri Lanka or Australia because if South Africa loses 0-2 to Pakistan, South Africa will be out of the top-2 in the points table.
