Why doesn’t beer come in a transparent bottle like wine? You may not know the reason

There are many ways to drink alcohol. There are also many types of alcohol, of which beer is one. People especially like to drink beer in the summer season. However, the amount of alcohol in beer is much less than in a wine bottle (Whisky Bottle). Beer comes in cans and glass bottles. Those who drink it are well aware of its qualities."text-align: justify;">But amidst all this, do you know why beer does not come in a transparent bottle like liquor? If you do not know, then we will tell you why beer does not come in a transparent bottle like liquor.

Different brands of beer in the market

Whether you drink beer or not, you must have seen a beer bottle sometime or the other. There are different brands of beer available in the market. If you have noticed, beer bottles are either green or brown in colour.

Now this question must be coming to your mind that what does the colour of a beer bottle have to do with it? Whether the colour of the bottle is black or yellow or red, you must be concerned with drinking beer. But, there is a big reason behind the colour of these beer bottles. Actually,  if the colour of the beer bottles is not kept like this, then you might not even be able to drink it.

The first beer company in ancient Egypt

It is believed that the first beer company was opened in ancient Egypt thousands of years ago. Because at that time beer was packed in transparent bottles, then it was found that due to beer being kept in white bottles, the ultraviolet rays (UV rays) coming from the sun’s rays were spoiling the acid present in the beer, due to which the beer started smelling bad and people were not able to drink it.

Sun rays do not affect brown color

After this, the beer makers found a solution to this problem and chose the bottles with a brown coating on them. The beer did not spoil in these coloured bottles and people started drinking beer with great enthusiasm. This was because the sun rays did not affect the brown coloured bottles. After this, during the Second World War, beer bottles started being painted green."text-align: justify;">Brown bottle is also used in chloroform

This is the reason why chloroform (a chemical that makes you unconscious) is also kept in a brown coloured bottle because it reacts with the rays of the sun. But, if it is kept in a brown coloured bottle, the rays of the sun do not affect it.
