New Delhi. Something special happened in the last ODI of the three -match series between India and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. England captain Jose Butler won the toss in the match and chose bowling against India. In the Ahmedabad ODI, players of both teams came out to play with a green bandage. It was worn in support of the BCCI initiative ‘Ang donation, save life’
The BCCI tweeted on Wednesday, “Both teams are wearing green strips to support the BCCI initiative ‘Ang donation, save life’. This initiative is being led by ICC Chairman Jai Shah. Pledge, spread the message, let’s be a part of a campaign that really means a lot.
Jai Shah tweeted, “It is proud to start a special initiative to spread awareness about ‘Ang Donation, Save Jeevan’ during the third ODI between India and England in Ahmedabad on February 12. The game has the power to motivate, unite and make permanent impact outside the field. Through this initiative, we all request to take a step towards giving the largest gift from all.
The two teams are wearing green arm bands to support BCCI’s initiative “Donate Organs, Save Lives”.
The initiative is spearheaded by ICC Chairman Mr Jay Shah.
