New Delhi: Today, India’s name is ringing in the world. India is going to every war zone with the message of peace. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clear message is that India is the land of Buddha and it stands in favor of peace. PM Modi is appealing for peace in the Russia-Ukraine war as well as the Israel-Hamas war. He is even trying his best to end this war and create an atmosphere of peace all around. In this regard, he has done something that the world’s great leaders have not been able to do.
Actually, on Friday, PM Modi reached the war-torn country Ukraine. Where he met the people of the Indian community. Giving information about this, PM Modi also wrote a post on X today. Prime Minister Modi wrote on X, “Reached Kiev this morning. The Indian community welcomed me very warmly.”

No leader could dare to do this
Before his visit to Ukraine, PM Modi had also visited Poland. Last month, PM Modi had visited Russia. Despite being a war zone, PM Modi met people from the Indian community in both Russia and Ukraine. There is no other leader who met people from his own country after visiting both the countries. It is only PM Modi who visited both the warring countries and met people from the Indian community. When there is bombing in another country from all sides, meeting your own people is a big thing in itself.
Before this, four heads of state have visited Russia-Ukraine. But no leader took the risk of meeting his people living in that country. But PM Modi took this risk. Before this, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer had visited Russia during the war. Just two days before going to Russia, he had visited Kiev. Along with this, Indonesian President Joko Widodo had reached Moscow on 29 June in the year 2022. Just a day before this, on 28 June, Widodo had gone to Ukraine.
These leaders also went but did not take the risk
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also visited the Ukrainian city of Lviv in the year 2022. After this, he reached the Russian city of Sochi as a working visit. Erdogan has also been continuously advocating and taking initiatives for a peace agreement for ceasefire between the two countries. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited Ukraine in July 2024 this year. After that he visited Russia. But during this time none of them met the people of their country. But PM Modi did it.
