Demand to put Rohingya Muslims in detention camp

Who are Rohingya?
Now the question is who are Rohingya Muslims? Let us tell you that Rohingya is a community of Muslims. A large population of Rohingya Muslims lives in the Rakhine province of Myanmar. But they have been facing discrimination and oppression in Myanmar for decades. Rohingya Muslims claim that they are descendants of Myanmar Muslims, but Myanmar calls them Bangladeshi infiltrators. It is claimed that they came to Myanmar from Bangladesh and settled during the British rule. On the other hand, Bangladesh, bordering Myanmar, does not consider the Rohingya community as its own, due to which they have not been able to get citizenship of any country.
How many detention camps in the country?
Let us tell you that in 2012, the Congress government in Assam had built detention centers inside three jails. According to the information, this detention center was built inside the district jails of Goalpara, Kokrajhar and Silchar. Apart from this, later three other detention centers were built inside the district jail of Tezpur, Dibrugarh and Jorhat. A total of 1000 immigrants can be kept in all these 6 detention centers. But the number of people living in it is much more than the prescribed limit.
Detention camp to be built in Mumbai?
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has talked about building a detention center in Mumbai. While responding to the debate on this bill, CM Devendra Fadnavis said that illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators will be kept in detention centres. For this, land has been sought from BMC in Mumbai. He said that these are foreign citizens, hence they cannot be kept in jail. For this reason he will be kept in the detention center.
