According to the report of WhatsApp, the company has banned 84.58 lakh accounts in the month of August. Of these, 1,661,000 accounts have been banned without complaint. This action has been taken according to the Information Technology Rules 2021. In this, accounts that violate policies and are involved in illegal activities have been completely banned. Let us tell you that WhatsApp does not promote illegal activities and takes action if it sees anything suspicious. Every year, action is taken against such accounts and they are banned forever.

So many accounts banned in the month of October

So far, 16.61 lakh accounts have been banned in the month of October. Let us tell you that WhatsApp’s automatic system identifies suspicious activities and then bans it.

Let us tell you that the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had implemented IT rules in 2021. Under this, it is mandatory for social media platforms with more than 50 lakh users to issue monthly reports. In this report, every detail of the complaints of the users and the action taken on them is mentioned. This action is taken under Rule 4(1)(D) and Rule 3A(7) of the Information Technology Rules, 2021. This has been implemented to ensure the safety of users.
