New Delhi. There is no good news coming for the Indian team from the Australia tour. Two players of Team India who were practicing before the Boxing Day Test have been injured. First the news of opener KL Rahul getting injured came to light and now the news of captain Rohit Sharma getting injured on his left knee in the throwdown came to light. After getting injured in practice, the captain was seen sitting with an ice pack for hours.
The 37-year-old Indian batsman suffered the injury during the second practice session before the fourth Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Throwdown specialist Daya was hit on his left knee by a ball. The channel telecasting the match shared the news of Rohit Sharma’s injury. The captain was found sitting on a chair with an ice pack on his leg. According to the information, the Indian captain continued batting for some time even after getting injured, but then he decided to get treatment from the team physio.
The report said, “The Indian captain took off his gear, sat on a chair and the physio took out an ice pack. When the pack was applied, the pain was clearly visible on the right-handed batsman’s face and later the physio placed Rohit’s left leg on a chair so that he could get rest.”
“The injury does not appear to be serious, and the physios are taking precautions to reduce swelling. There is still some time left for the Boxing Day Test to start, and Rohit is hoping that the pain will go away soon,”
