According to Jagbir Singh, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone Idea, Vodafone Idea will initially start offering commercial 5G service from Delhi and Mumbai. India’s third largest telecom service provider will offer this facility by March 2025. Vi will be the third telecom company in the country to bring this facility. Vi is set to launch 5G commercial services in 17 circles next year and aims to reach at least 90 percent of India.

Today, about 1.03 billion people are covered with about 77 percent 4G coverage.
