VIP Traffic Protocol: For the first time, elections have been held in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370, in which Sheikh Abdullah’s party, National Conference, formed the government by registering majority. Omar Abdullah became the first Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. As soon as he assumed the post of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah made a big announcement. He has said that as CM he will not take advantage of the traffic protocol. That means, as the Chief Minister, he will not take advantage of the Green Corridor.
Let us tell you that there are traffic protocols for VIPs and politicians. When they go to office, work or home in their official vehicle, traffic is stopped. But meanwhile, a question arises in the minds of many people that even if a VIP goes somewhere in his personal car, will he still get the benefit of traffic protocol?
What is VIP traffic protocol?
If any VIP goes anywhere on the road. So he is given traffic protocol. Which includes politicians, government officials, and prominent people. Keeping in view their safety and convenience, this protocol is given to them by the government. In which the traffic signals coming in the way of VIPs are stopped during their journey in the Green Corridor.

So that there is no obstruction of any kind while passing through. Apart from the green corridor, VIPs also get police escorts. Who walks with them on the way. When a VIP’s car goes on the road. So the normal traffic is stopped and permission is given to go ahead of their vehicle.

Is protocol followed in personal vehicle also?
Where VIPs are given all the protocols in their official vehicles. So, regarding the traffic protocol for VIPs, this question also comes in the minds of people that what if a VIP goes somewhere in his personal car. Even then he is given complete traffic protocols. So let us tell you that this does not happen. Traffic protocol is what the VEP gets for his position. But when a person uses a private vehicle for his personal work, then he does not get VIP traffic protocols.
