When Rohit Sharma and company took the field against New Zealand on Thursday, it was expected that the Indian team would set a huge score against the Kiwis at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. On the contrary, Team India’s threads were unraveled by the team captained by Tom Latham. Be it Virat Kohli or KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan or Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, all of them disappointed the Indian fans. No one would have expected that not one or two but five players from India would be out on zero in their own home.
The entire Indian team was all out for 46 runs. Matt Harry took five wickets while William Oruke also got four wickets. India had lost three wickets as soon as it reached 10 runs. Rohit Sharma was out after scoring just two runs while Virat Kohli was caught by Glenn Phillip after facing 9 balls. In the very next over, Sarfaraz Khan was also out for zero after playing 3 balls. Team India’s bad times did not stop here. Aggressive batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was playing after scoring only 13 runs after facing 63 balls, also got caught out in the very next over.
