Statement given on Virat Kohli and Gambhir, Australian captain will not be able to do commentary in Perth Test, BCCI became the reason

Melbourne. The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of Australia. The Border Gavaskar Trophy has been awaited for a long time. From November 22, both the teams will play in the first test match in Perth. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting and his teammate Justin Langer will not be able to commentate in this match. Due to the mega auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be held in Saudi Arabia, both of them will not be able to commentate in the first Test match between India and Australia starting from November 22 in Perth. The IPL auction will be held in Jeddah on 24 and 25 November.

Australian newspaper ‘The Age’ has shared this information. According to the newspaper, “Due to a conflict of commitments, Channel Seven will be unable to access the services of Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer for parts of the Perth Test between India and Australia. In this way, Australia may miss its ardent fan in the opening match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Ponting was recently appointed as the head coach by Punjab Kings while Langer is already playing the role at Lucknow Supergiants. Apart from these two, Australia team’s assistant coach Daniel Vettori may also remain out of the first test. He is the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. These three are likely to be included in the IPL auction.

Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is in the news these days because of his statement to Virat Kohli. He took a dig at Team India’s star, who was going through poor form, scoring only 2 Test centuries in 5 years. On this, Indian team coach Gautam Gambhir replied to him. He had said that Ponting should focus on his country’s cricket. Ponting also retorted to this statement and said that Gambhir would get irritated easily.
