New Delhi. Have you ever seen a team crossing the 300 mark in T20 cricket? South Delhi Superstars team has done this feat on Saturday in Delhi Premier League T20. South Delhi team batted first against North Delhi at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and scored 308 runs in 20 overs. This is the second highest score in T20 cricket. The world record for scoring the highest score in T20 is in the name of Nepal, which scored 314 runs for 3 wickets against Mongolia in September 2023. Nepal scored this match in T20 International cricket.
South Delhi Superstars team captain Ayush Badoni and opener Priyansh Arya batted brilliantly. Both of them shared a partnership of 286 runs in 99 balls. Both batsmen tore apart the bowlers of North Delhi. Priyansh Arya hit six consecutive sixes in an over. He hit six consecutive sixes in an over of North Delhi’s left arm spinner Manan Bhardwaj. The partnership between Ayush Badoni and Priyansh Arya is the highest run partnership for any wicket in T20 history. Earlier, Japan’s opener Lachlan Yamamoto and Kendall Kadowaki Fleming had shared a partnership of 258 runs. Badoni hit 19 sixes in his innings which is the highest number of sixes by a batsman in T20. Earlier, Estonia’s batsman Sahil Chauhan had hit 18 sixes.

31 sixes were hit in South Delhi’s innings
The batsmen of South Delhi Superstars team hit 31 sixes and 19 fours in 120 balls. That is, the South Delhi team hit 50 boundaries (fours and sixes) in their innings. The credit for this goes to Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni. Badoni played an innings of 165 runs which is his best score in T20. Priyansh hit his second century in the current league.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record broken
Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored 287 runs for 3 wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. This was the second highest overall score in T20 but now this record belongs to South Delhi Superstars.
