Actually, the actress we are talking about is none other than Ramya Krishnan, who gained a lot of popularity with the character of ‘Shivgami’ in ‘Bahubali’. Ramya is one of the highest-paid actresses in the country. If media reports are to be believed, the actress charges Rs 3 to 4 crore for a film. In 2024, she appeared in two big-budget films, Guntur Karam and Purushothamudu. Even at the age of 54, she is working with megastars.
Ramya started her acting career with C.V. Sridhar’s 1983 film Vellai Mansu. Her first Malayalam film is Neram Pularumbol (1986), while her first Telugu film is Bhale Mithrulu (1986). Her extra marital affair with South Indian director KS Ravikumar created a stir in the film industry. It was in 1999 when Ramya joined hands with KS Ravikumar and worked together in the film Padayappa. Their friendship soon turned into an affair after working together in two more films, Pattali (1999) and Panchathanthiram (2002).
This is not the first time that a filmmaker has fallen in love with an actress while working together in a film, however, the disturbing thing about Ramya Krishnan and KS Ravikumar’s relationship was that it was an extra marital affair. Although Ramya was single at that time, KS Ravikumar was already married.
What was even more shocking was that Ramya knew about KS Ravikumar’s marriage. According to a report by News 18, Ramya and KS Ravikumar were also in a physical relationship and the actress even got pregnant before marriage.
According to reports, after Ramya Krishnan allegedly became pregnant, KS Ravikumar decided to end his extra marital affair with the actress.
Reports also said that both the actress and the director were not ready for a child and Ramya allegedly demanded Rs 75 lakh for abortion. According to reports, KS Ravikimar gave a hefty amount to Ramya, after which they parted ways.
After ending her relationship with KS Ravikumar, Ramya Krishnan fell in love with another famous South Indian director Krishna Vamsi.
After dating each other for some time, the couple got married on June 12, 2003.
At the time of their marriage, Ramya was 33 years old, and Krishna was 41 years old. On February 13, 2005, Ramya and Krishna welcomed their son Rithvik Vamsi. The couple is now living a happy life with their son Rithvik.
