Jaipur. Central and Rajasthan governments will provide telecommunication services as well as high-speed internet to every person in the state by the end of this year. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is expanding telecommunication services in more than 3500 remote and inaccessible rural areas of the state under a special campaign in joint operation with the state government. The entire plan for this has been chalked out. It is being claimed that it will be implemented soon.
BSNL is rapidly installing mobile towers in 3500 villages and hamlets that are deprived of telecom services. For better telecom services, BSNL is installing more than 1200 new towers in deprived rural areas. More than 80% of the mobile towers will be installed in Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jodhpur of western Rajasthan as well as in the tribal rural areas of Udaipur and Rajsamand. The western region of Rajasthan is sandy. There are distances of several kilometers between villages and hamlets. At the same time, it is very difficult for the common man to reach many tribal areas of Udaipur division.
More than 3500 villages are still deprived of these services
Along with this, a new network of high-tech telecommunication services is being prepared in many districts of eastern Rajasthan. In collaboration with the state government, BSNL is laying a network to provide telecommunication services and high-speed broadband internet service to all the citizens of the state. Even in this era of communication revolution, more than 3500 villages of Rajasthan are still completely deprived of these services.
By the end of this year, remote rural areas will start getting services
According to Sanjay Kumar, Chief General Manager of BSNL Rajasthan Circle, after the instructions of the Central Government, with the cooperation of the State Government, every citizen will be connected with telecommunication services as well as high-speed internet services by the end of this year. Under this, rural areas which have been deprived of telecommunication services till now will be greatly benefited.
