Aga Khan IV Passed Away: Prince Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV passed away. He was a spiritual leader of millions of Shia Ismaili Muslims spread around the world. He breathed his last at Lisbon (Portugal) at the age of 88 on Tuesday. He was made the 49th Imam and spiritual leader of Ismaili Muslims at the age of just 20 years. He dedicated his entire life to public welfare. Along with the spiritual leadership of Ismaili Muslims, he made a distinct identity with public welfare works like building houses, hospitals and schools in developing countries with the help of billions of dollars.

Descendant of Prophet Mohammad
The family of Prince Karim Al-Husaini Aga Khan IV is considered a descendant of the Prophet of Islam. He was a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad’s daughter Hazrat Bibi Fatima and the Prophet’s cousin and son -in -law Hazrat Ali, the fourth Khalifa of Islam and the first Shia Imam. He was the eldest son of Prince Ali Khan and the grandson of the late Sir Sultan Mohammad Shah Aga Khan III and the post of Imam.

Spiritual leaders made at an early age
Prince Karim Aga Khan was only 20 years old when his grandfather chose his son Ali Khan in 1957 and elected him his successor. Nominating him for spiritual leadership, it was said that this responsibility should be given to a young person who has grown up among new ideas. When Prince Karim Aga Khan was assigned spiritual leadership, he graduated from Harvard University at that time.

Life dedicated to community
Prince Karim Aga Khan IV insisted in his entire life that Islam is a thoughtful, spiritual belief that teaches compassion and tolerance and maintains the dignity of mankind. He dedicated his life to improve the life situation of his community and people of those countries in which he lives, whether his caste, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Prince Aga Khan IV established the Aga Khan Vikas Network. 96000 people have got employment through this network. Aga Khan Development Network focuses on healthcare, education housing and economic development. His work is spread in many countries, including many countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Tajikistan.

Ismaili community spread in 25 countries
People of Ismaili Muslim community live in more than 25 different countries. These mainly live in Central and South Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe, North America and Australia. Ismaili Muslims first came to Sindh province from Khyber province of Afghanistan 950 years ago and then reached India. At present, the population of people of Ismaili Muslim community all over the world is close to 1.5 crore. People of Ismaili Muslim community are different from other sects of Muslims.

Neither do fasting, nor go to Haj
Ismaili knows Muslims by different names. They are also called Muslims, Agakhani Muslims and Nijari Muslims. They do not offer Namaz five times a day. Where Ismaili Muslims worship, it is called Jamaatkhana. Where women also pray with men. Ismaili Muslims do not fast for the whole month during Ramadan. They believe that God would have been every day. They do not even go on Haj. Ismaili Muslims keep themselves away from political disputes.
