During the phone conversation, the need for immediate release of all hostages, ceasefire and continuous humanitarian aid was emphasized. A few hours before reaching Ukraine, PM Modi also said in Poland that war is not the solution to any problem.

India wants to woo America as well

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for the Ukrainian capital Kyiv by a special train today, i.e. on 22nd August, late in the evening as per Indian time. PM Modi will spend about 7 hours in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. During this time, PM Modi will meet President Zelensky. During this time, it is expected that agreements will also be reached between India and Ukraine on important defense deals. During this time, a ceasefire can also be discussed.
