Nine Killed in Auto-Rickshaw Accident in Uttar Pradesh | Speeding Tanker Causes Fatal Accident in Fatehpur

“In an unfortunate Auto-Rickshaw Accident in Fatehpur district, Uttar Pradesh, two young men lost their lives when the auto-rickshaw they were traveling in collided with a milk tanker.

The accident occurred in the Jehanabad area, near the Chilli turn. Eleven people from Ghatampur in Kanpur were on their way to Jehanabad when the speeding tanker struck their auto-rickshaw. Tragically, nine people in the auto-rickshaw were killed, and two others were seriously injured. The local administration is actively assisting the victims, and efforts are underway to locate the fleeing tanker driver responsible for the collision.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences and announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the families of each deceased victim, while the injured will receive ₹50,000 each. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conveyed his sympathies and instructed officials to provide proper treatment to the injured. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, and further details are awaited.”
