Bihar government is promoting pack houses for proper packing of vegetables and fruits. Bihar government is also giving 50 percent subsidy to farmers. The cost of pack house is around 4 lakhs, in which farmers will get 2 lakhs as grant on getting 50 percent. Farmers associated with FPO/FPC will get 75 percent subsidy which is 3 lakh rupees. This subsidy for building pack house is being given by Bihar Agriculture Department, Horticulture Directorate under Integrated Horticulture Development Mission Scheme.
How to apply for pack house?
To avail the pack house subsidy scheme of Bihar Agriculture Department, Horticulture Directorate, visit the official website horticulture.bihar.gov.in. For more information, you can contact the Assistant Director, Horticulture of the nearest district and get information. Subsidy for pack house has to be applied offline only. After setting up the pack house unit, the inspection committee of Bihar Agriculture Department will inspect it and only after this verification the subsidy amount will be given to the farmer.
