According to the latest update released by the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is passing through Jaisalmer in Rajasthan via Kota, Guna, Sagar and Mandla. Not only this, a low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal has moved in the northwest direction. Also, a cyclonic circulation is formed over Kutch. Due to this, moist winds from the north-east Arabian Sea are coming towards the plains. A trough is spread from the South Gujarat coast to the North Kerala coast.
The Meteorological Department says that due to the effect of these weather systems, widespread heavy rains will be recorded in Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of heavy rains with strong winds and thunderstorms in various parts of western Madhya Pradesh till July 24 and in eastern Madhya Pradesh till July 23. Heavy rains will also be seen in various parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh on July 24. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this.
