March to Future approach…PM Modi gave mantra in G20 Summit, advocating reform in global institutions

In the inaugural speech of the G20 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the mantra of success to the rich countries of the world. He said, it is clear that ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ is as relevant at this summit as it was last year. Brazil has taken forward the public-friendly decisions taken during the G-20 summit in New Delhi. The only mantra of our success is that we have Back to Basics and March to Future approach. Along with this, PM Modi advised for immediate reforms in global institutions.

PM Modi told about the steps being taken in India. Said- In the last ten years we have lifted 25 crore people out of poverty. 80 crore people are being given free grains. 55 crore people have been benefited from the health insurance scheme. Our development has been focused on women.

Told how much was given to the farmers
PM Modi said that under the farmers scheme, 20 billion dollars have been given to the farmers. We have provided humanitarian aid to Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Along with food security, India is also ensuring nutrition. We support Brazil’s initiative for a ‘Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty’.

We will have to talk about improving institutions
The Prime Minister said, just as we strengthened the voice of the ‘Global South’ by giving G20 membership to the African Union, in the same way we will reform the institutions of global governance. But our discussions can be successful only if we keep in mind the challenges and priorities of the ‘Global South’. Because the food, fuel and fertilizer crisis caused by global conflicts has had the most adverse impact on the countries of the ‘Global South’.
