Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), which is located in Motihari, Bihar, was established in the year 2016. This university is one of the major central universities of the country, and high level courses are available in various fields of education here. Like other central universities, admission is given through CUET examination at Mahatma Gandhi Central University.

CUET exam and admission process

Under the CUET examination, students get admission in UG (Undergraduate) and PG (Post Graduate) course. For this, students first have to take CUET UG and CUET PG exams. Currently, CUET UG and CUET PG exams are to be conducted. For admission in this university, students have to select the university at the time of application of CUET. After the result of the examination is declared, counseling is organized by the university, in which students are admitted on the basis of examination score.

Course and program

Mahatma Gandhi Central University has various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Courses ranging from BA, BTech, BSc, BCom to MTech, MA, MJ, MSc, MPhil and PhD are provided in this university.

A total of 20 postgraduate courses are being conducted in this university, in which education is imparted in major areas. These include Commerce, Management Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Library and Information Science, Media Studies, Educational Studies, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Botany Science, Zoology.

CUET PG’s possibility of cutoff

Talking about the possible cutoff for CUET PG, it can vary depending on different subjects.

-MSC Physics may have a cutoff up to 59-64 percentile.
For MSC chemistry, there can be a cutoff up to 58-62 percentile.
-There may be a cutoff up to 53-58 percentile for MBA.

Keeping these cutoffs in mind, students can take admission in their favorite courses according to their score.

Hostels are made for 1700 students

There is a hostel of two boys and a girls hostel in the premises of Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU). These hostels have a total ability of 1700 students, including both UG (undergraduate) and post graduate students. There are two hostels for boys, in which all necessary facilities are available for students, such as beds, tables, curses, wardrobes, and 24 hours of water and electricity facilities. Apart from this, Wi-Fi, washroom, and other facilities are provided in these hostels.
