The incident took place in Devendran Nagar in Mananjeri area of Chennai. Giridharan, 34, who works in a private bank, lived in an apartment with his wife Pavitra and two children. On Wednesday morning suddenly the whole family started feeling dizzy and vomiting. Seeing this, the neighbors immediately took him to the hospital.

Company employees poured rat poison in the form of powder into the house, but it dissolved in the air and proved fatal for the family.
