It was here that she met some members of the AAP and joined the party when it was founded.

His role in the party

Atishi served as a key member of the party’s manifesto drafting committee for the 2013 assembly elections and played a key role in shaping the party’s policies. Atishi’s social and political works

Atishi’s activism has also contributed significantly to her social and political work. She has clashed with the Delhi Police and central investigative agencies on several occasions and has also conducted inspections in MCD schools. Recently, when Kejriwal was in Tihar Jail, he proposed Atishi’s name to hoist the tricolour on Independence Day.

Kejriwal’s hopes

Before Kejriwal himself was arrested, he made Atishi a cabinet minister on March 9, 2023 and gave her the most number of ministries. She is the only woman minister in the Delhi government and has the responsibility of Education, PWD, Water Department, Revenue, Planning and Finance Department. Atishi’s name is considered important keeping in mind the women’s vote and Kejriwal’s promises to women. In 2015, she also served as an advisor to Manish Sisodia in the field of education and after the 2020 assembly elections, the party made her in-charge of Goa.

This journey of Atishi has brought her to the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, and now her role will prove to be important in the political and social direction of Delhi.
