In which Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) recorded growth, while Hyundai and Tata Motors saw a decline. Like every month, Maruti Suzuki was the best -selling car company in January. In January, the dispatch of vehicles from Maruti factories increased by 0.6 percent to 2,12,251 units. The country’s largest car manufacturer dispatched a total of 1,99,364 units in January 2024.
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement, last month, the total domestic passenger cars had 1,73,599 units, which was 1,66,802 units in a period of a year ago, which is a growth of 4.07 percent. Exports increased to 27,100 units last month, which was 23,921 units a year ago.
Hyundai’s sale decreased
Hyundai Motor India said that in January, its total sale fell 3 percent to 65,603 units from year to year. The company sent 67,615 vehicles in January 2024. Hyundai Motor India said in a statement that the automaker sold 54,003 units in its domestic market last month, while it was 57,115 units in the period a year ago. In January 2024, exports were 11,600 units last month as against 10,500 vehicles.
Tata’s cell also fell 7 %
Tata Motors said that in January, its total vehicle dispatch fell 7 percent to 80,304 units from year to year. The auto chief sent 86,125 units in January 2024. Tata Motors said in a statement that the total domestic sale fell 7 percent to 78,159 units last month, compared to 84,276 units in a period of a year ago.
