IPL 2025 Auction: Which players will enter the IPL mega auction, how many Indian cricketers are included, announced


New Delhi. BCCI has announced how many cricketers will enter the player auction for the upcoming season of IPL. This time a total of 574 players will enter the mega auction, including 366 Indian players and 208 foreign players. Will be from 3 associate nations. 318 uncapped players of India will be part of the auction. IPL auction will be held on 24-25 November in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. USA’s Ali Khan and Unmukt Chand along with Scotland’s Brendon McCullin are among the foreign uncapped players.

This time 1574 players had registered their names for the IPL mega auction, which included 1165 Indian players. There were 409 foreign players. Many strong players will also enter the auction, including James Anderson, Cameron Green, Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada and many other overseas stars. Many Indian players like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer will enter the auction.

204 slots vacant
Only 204 players will be bid in the IPL auction. In which 70 slots are vacant for foreign players. Punjab Kings team will enter the auction with the highest salary purse. PBKS has the most money in its purse. Before the auction, all 10 franchises together retained a total of 47 players. During this period he spent Rs 558.5 crore.

KKR-RR retained 6 players
Current champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals retained six players each. Five teams Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad retained five players each in the team. Whereas Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings retained four, three and two players respectively.

10 franchises will spend Rs 641.5 crore on 204 players
All the 10 franchises together will spend a total of Rs 641.5 crore on the 204 players who will be bought in the auction. In this, foreign players will come in 70 slots. 2 crores is the highest reserve price. There are 81 players included in this bracket. While the base price of 27 players is Rs 1.50 crore, 18 players have kept their base price Rs 1.25 crore.
