APACHE NEWS: The Indian Army is going through its modernization. The army is trying to buy more and more from indigenous companies. It is not that purchases from abroad have been stopped completely. If necessary to increase the strength of the army, then that purchase can be done from abroad. Under the same, the Army has purchased the world’s most powerful attack helicopter AH 64 Apache for its aviation core. The wait for the Indian Army is getting longer. Delivery of the helicopter has not been done yet. The US again missed the deadline for delivery.
Squadron was installed Apache did not come
The Indian Army set a place for the deployment of attack helicopter Apache. His squadron was also established but right now he is waiting for his first helicopter. It is to be deployed at 451 Army Aviation Squadron in Jodhpur on the Pakistan border. In February 2024 was the first deadline which increased till June July. Then this deadline reached by December. Now December has gone to December 2025, but the helicopter did not come.
Apache frame is becoming in India
In January 2024, Tata Advanced System Limited and Big’s Joint Venture Tata Boing Aerospace Limited handover the army’s first Apache fusslage ie frame army. This facility is located in Hyderabad. Indian journey of Apache
The Cabinet Committee approved the purchase of 39 AH 64 Apache helicopters between India and America. After approval, in 2015, there was an agreement to procure 22 Apache for the Indian Air Force. The Indian Air Force has received all 22 helicopters. The Army has signed an agreement to procure 6 Apache worth $ 800 million in the year 2020. In February 2024, the deadline to get the first Apache was kept. In its three months, the remaining 5 Apache was to come to India. But the first did not come yet. Training of 6 pilots and 24 people of Army Aviation Core has also been completed to operate Apache.
Why Apache is the most dangerous?
Apache attack helicopter is one of the most powerful helicopters in the world. It has been used in many other conflicts including Afghanistan and Iraq. This two -seat helicopter can be fired with a helifier and stringer missile. It has a 30 mm machine gun. A sensor is fit on the front side in the helicopter, so that it can carry out any attack operation of ease even in the dark of night. It can attack with any season and full load in any season and Terrain while flying at a speed of 365 kmph. The Aviation Corps of the Indian Army have established three aviation brigades, increasing their strength. One has been established in Jodhpur, Leh of Eastern Commod, the second Northern Comod’s Leh and the third Vestron Comod. The Indian Army’s Utility helicopter, attack helicopter and UAV are being operated from these brigade. The attack helicopter has so far included the vapineized version of the army indigenous advanced light chopper, Rudra, Light Combat Helicopter Prachanda.
