New Delhi. Ever since the launch of the 2024 Maruti Swift, its CNG version is being awaited. Apart from its petrol cars, Maruti is also known for its efficient CNG cars. Now the wait for the CNG variant of this car is going to end soon. According to some reports, the company can launch the 2024 Swift CNG in the month of September.

According to Carwale, the company is preparing to launch the new Swift CNG on September 12 and its official announcement can be made soon. It will be offered in several variants. It will get the new 1.2-liter Z-series engine which is being used in the petrol variant. This car will come with a 60-liter CNG tank. In this configuration, the Swift CNG will generate about 70bhp of power and 100Nm of peak torque.

According to reports, the CNG version can give a mileage of 30 km/kg in one kg of CNG. Talking about the petrol variant, it is giving a mileage of 24.8 km/l.

These will be the features in Swift CNG
Swift CNG can be offered with the same features as its existing petrol variant. It can be provided with safety features like 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts with seatbelt reminder on all seats, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist (BA).

How much will Swift CNG cost?
Usually CNG vehicles are sold at a higher price than the petrol variant. The price of the new Swift CNG is also expected to be higher than the petrol variant. If reports are to be believed, the price of Swift CNG can be Rs 60,000-80,000 more than its petrol variant. After being launched in the Indian market, it can compete with cars like Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago CNG.
