Astana: Archaeologists have made a big discovery in excavation in the western Atira region of Kazakhstan. They have found gold jewelery and weapons in the excavation of three burial mounds. This includes gold jewelery and weapons created by the Sarmatian nomads, which show that these discoveries are almost the fifth century BCE, ie 2500 years old. This discovery shows that the area must have been the center of the surmatan civilization then. This excavation was led by archaeologist Marat Kasnov. They one Statement I told that earlier he used to consider Atrau on the edge of the Sarmatian area. But the new discovery shows that it must have been close to their centers.
So far, more than 1000 artifacts have been found from the burial mounds of this region, about 100 of which are gold jewelery and jewelery, which are made in the ‘style of animals’. Kasnov said, “These items can be seen on these objects, hunter animals found in the area, such as leopards, wild boar and tiger images.” During the excavation, human remains, earthen pots and two rare wooden bowls and two black ‘touchstones’ have also been found, which have gold handles. The wood was not completely rotten even after so long.
Life has been like this for nomads
About the fifth century BC, nomadic Sarmatians dominated the stapy sector between Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He is mentioned in Persian writing based on ancient oral history for the first time till the fourth century BC. He must have been a part of the broader Sithian culture of nomads which extended from the Black Sea to China. Sarmatians later joined the Goths and other Germanic tribes, who settled in his land after the fall of the Western Roman Empire in the fifth century.
Gold bracelet also found
In the years 2023 and 24, several discoveries were made during the excavation of ‘Karabau-2’ buried mound in the Atira region. Such burial mounds are called ‘Kurgan’ in Eastern Europe which is derived from the Turkish word ‘Mound’. Karabau-2 Kugan is about 10 feet high and its diameter is about 230 feet. Archaeologists believe that they were used to bury at least 9 people, out of which only two were robbed by the robbers. Archaeologists also excavated other mounds a few km from here, each of which had 10-15 graves. About 370 grams of gold bracelet was also found in a grave.
