The Supreme Court’s YouTube channel was hacked on Friday (September 20). The top court’s YouTube channel was showing a video promoting US-based cryptocurrency XRP, developed by Ripple Labs. A blank video titled “Brad Garlinghouse: Ripple reacts to SEC’s $2 billion fine! XRP price prediction” was live on the hacked channel.
Earlier, hackers changed the name of the channel and made the videos of earlier hearings private. Now the channel has been removed by YouTube due to community guideline violence. On this channel, the hearing of cases coming before the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court and cases related to public interest are live streamed.
