Islamabad: The list of the world’s most powerful armies has been released. India has finished fourth in the Global Fire Power Index 2025. This ranking shows the growing defense capabilities of India’s Army, Navy and Air Force. At the same time, Pakistan exited the top 10 in 2024. Pakistan was the first 9th place which now slipped to 12th. The Global Fire Power Index is based on more than 60 parameters, including defense technology, financial resources, logistics, geography and strategic conditions. At the top of this is the United States.

After the US, Russia’s army is at number two and China’s army is at number three. India is retaining its fourth ranking for the sixth time. India has insisted on defense production and self -sufficient for some time, which increases its strength even more. India’s lead in the index can be credited to modernization in military branches. The top 10 is France among the powerful countries, which have been included. It was at number 11 in last year’s ranking. This time France has come at number 7. Last year, Japan was at seventh rank which reached eighth this time.

What is the strength of India?
Talking about the most soldiers, India is second in this matter. India has 14,55,550 soldiers. Apart from this, India has 11,55,000 reserve soldiers. Talking about weapons with India, India has advanced weapons like T-90 Bhishma and Arjun tank, BrahMos missile and Pinaka rocket systems. The Indian Air Force has expanded a lot in its fleet. The Indian Airforce has 2,229 aircraft, including 600 fighter J, 899 helicopters and 831 assistant aircraft. The Indian Navy has also strengthened its position with 142,251 personnel and 150 warships and submarines.

What is the strength of Pakistan?
According to the Fire Power Index, Pakistan is ahead of India only in the 8 -scale ground strength and geography. The Pakistani Army has 654,000 soldiers. Pakistan is also far behind India in terms of defense budget. Talking about air power, Pakistan has a total of 1399 aircraft, out of which 328 are fighter jets. India has an aircraft career in terms of Navy’s strength. While Pakistan does not have it. At the same time, India has 18 submarines and Pakistan has only 8.
