It has been decided to play this dhurandhar on the last date to choose the final team for the tournament. The Sports and Medical Science team of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru had left the decision on Jaspreet Bumrah for the Champions Trophy on Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar.

Late Tuesday night, the BCCI decided to play Jaspreet Bumrah’s Champions Trophy. The selection committee selected Harshit Rana as a replacement in the team selected for the tournament. According to the news, Bumrah, who was pushing to get fitness after being injured, has recovered from the injury but still had to be out of the two.

Why were you fit out
The NCA examines two parameters of fitness before a player approves his return to cricket. It is believed that Bumrah’s strength and adaptation coach Rajinikanth and Physio Tulsi were declared medically fit after completing rehabilitation for lower back injury under the supervision of Tulsi. However, there was doubt whether he is fit for bowling before a big tournament like Champions Trophy.

Who took the final decision
The ball was put in the court of chief selector Ajit Agarkar after the NCA was called medically fit. The chairman of the selection committee present in Ahmedabad has spoken on the issue with captain Rohit Sharma and coach Gautam Gambhir. It was discussed whether it would be appropriate to take Bumrah who is not fully fit for the match. Finally, Harshit, who was included in the team as a reserve, agreed to the name of Rana.
