BCCI Domestic rules: Rules of cricket changed, if you retire, you will not get to bat again, will be considered out.

New Delhi. With the beginning of the domestic cricket season in India, some new rules are also going to be implemented. There will be no ‘facility’ of batting again after being retired hurt in the Ranji Trophy matches starting from 11th October. Now there will be no penalty just for spitting or applying saliva on the ball. Now if this happens the ball itself will be replaced.

BCCI has changed many rules of cricket for the domestic season. The big change in this is to retire in the middle of the innings. Many times it used to happen that a batsman would retire without talking or to give a chance to others. If the team needed him, he would come to bat again. Now this will not happen. BCCI has made it clear that the facility of ‘Retired Hurt’ will be available only in case of injury.

website cricbuzz According to the new rule, it is clear that if a player gets injured while playing, he can retire in the middle of the innings and will also be allowed to bat again. If the batsman retires in the middle of the innings for any reason other than injury, he will not be given a chance to bat again. This rule will apply not only in that innings, but also in the super over (if needed).

BCCI has also added one thing to the rule of applying saliva on the ball. Earlier, if a team applied saliva on the ball, it was fined. Now not only will he be fined, the ball will also be replaced immediately. Please note that these rules are only for BCCI matches. In the rest of the world, the same rules will be followed which have been decided by ICC.
