Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi will play under the captaincy of Rohit… Special tournament is returning after 18 years

New Delhi. We all have seen foreign players playing under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma time and again. This is a common thing in IPL. But what will happen when Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli is the captain in an international match and players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mehdi Hasan and Mathisha Pathirana are seen playing under their captaincy. This is not a dream, it is part of a plan, which may prove to be true very soon. Africa Cricket Association (ACA) is planning such a match.

In the recently held AGM of the African Cricket Association, there was a discussion on re-holding the Afro-Asia Cup. This tournament has been organized in 2005 and 2007. If the African Board’s plan comes to fruition, we may soon see its third edition. Cricket lovers know that the Afro-Asia Cup is played between African XI and Asian XI. African XI mostly includes players from South Africa and Zimbabwe. Players from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan can be seen in the Asian XI.
