Washington: A meteorite can bring great destruction on the earth. One such meteorite has been seen recently, which is becoming a big threat. Scientists are going to look at it with the most powerful telescope. Esteroid named 2024 YRR4 is a building size, whose speed is 61 thousand kmph. It was discovered in 2024 by NASA’s Esteroid Terrestrial-Impact Last Alert System (ATLAS). It is at the top of NASA’s Esteroid Watch List. In December 2032, it has 2.3 percent likely to collide with the Earth. Currently, on the basis of calculation, 1 out of 43, its collision is possible from Earth, in view of which NASA has taken a big step. According to a blog post by the European Space Agency (ESA), a team of international astronomers has been allowed to use the James Web Space Telescope (JWST) to study it.

Astronomers estimate that the diameter of this estroid is about 55 meters, which is equivalent to the height of the tilted towers of Pisa. The dinosaurs on Earth were abolished by Chiksulub Esteroid. Esteroid can be bigger
The current size of 2024 YR4 is an estimate of a ground -based telescope. According to ESA, due to the Earth’s atmosphere, these telescope can see the sunlight reflected from the surface of Esteroids, due to which a limited picture of its actual size is found. This can be much larger than estimated. ESA wrote that the brightest asteroids in general, the larger the size of it. The team says that it is very important that we improve our size estimate for 2024 YR4. Because the risk of estroid with 40 meters and 90 meters diameter is extremely different.

James web telescope will be helped
According to ESA, our information about the size and surface structure of the Esteroids will be improved through James web telescope. JWST’s infrared equipment will study the heat emanating from the estteroid, which will detect its actual size and surface structure. JWST is the most expensive telescope in this world, which is present in space. It will be very clearly seen at Esteroids compared to the telescope on Earth. According to ESA, JWS will observe 2024 YR4 for the first time in March. Then the brightness of this estroid will be at its peak.
