If the problem is not resolved soon, there is a possibility of huge losses. The affected airlines include Indigo, SpiceJet and Akasa Air. Services like flight booking and check-in have been affected the most.
After the ‘Microsoft server outage’, domestic airline SpiceJet wrote on the social media platform Eks, ‘We are facing a technical problem, which has affected the services of the aircraft. Our team is working fast on it. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. You will be updated as soon as the problem is resolved. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.’ Meanwhile, Microsoft 365 has said that they are investigating the matter.

Airlines were affected the most
Akasa Air also wrote, some of our online services are not available right now. There has been some problem with our service provider, due to which online services have been affected. Therefore, many online services including booking, check-in are down. Therefore, passengers should take advantage of the facility of manual check-in and reach the airport early. IndiGo wrote on social media, ‘Our system has come to a standstill due to Microsoft outage. Right now, services like booking, check-in and boarding pass as well as flights have been affected. We appreciate your patience.’
Australia most affected
Australia has been the most affected by this Microsoft outage. According to Sydney Morning Herald, the country’s leading news channel ABC was affected and there was difficulty in broadcasting news. Police services including supermarkets have also been affected. Many customers say that their cards are also not working. Melbourne Airport says that many flights including check-in have also been affected. Airlines company Virgin Australia has said that all their flights have been diverted to Sydney Airport.
The London Stock Exchange crashed
After the Microsoft outage, the London Stock Exchange has also been affected. Police service 911 has been affected in many states of America, while news is not being broadcast on the British news channel Sky News. Apart from this, crores of consumers around the world are facing problems in using Windows and their computers are shutting down. It is written on their PC, ‘Your PC is in trouble and please restart. We are seeing some errors and will restart it soon.’
